Notice issued by Income Tax Department to wife of Abhishek Manu Singhvi in Nirvav Modi case
New Delhi: In the matter of buying a jewelery worth six crore rupees from a show owned by Nirav Modi, the Income Tax Department has sent a notice to senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi's wife Anita Singhvi asking for information about this purchase. Meanwhile, Singhvi dismissed the charges against the family and termed this action by the Income Tax Department as "disturbing" because they belong to the opposition party.

Sources said that the notice was sent to Anita Singhvi on Tuesday. In the notice, Anita has been asked how much money she had given in cash in the purchase a few years ago and how much the amount was given by the check. The Income Tax Department is worried that Anita had paid Rs 1.5 crore in checks for this and provided four crores of rupees eight crores. The tax department wants to know about the source of the transaction and wealth which is part of the investigation of the negligence issued by Neerav Modi and his uncle Mahul Vigilance.
Singhvi refuses charge
Singhvi has denied all allegations made against him through the tweeter, saying that he is a liar and according to the law he will answer the notice of the Income Tax Department. Congress leader has written, "On the basis of someone's computer entry, my wife has allegedly been accused of purchasing cash ornaments which is not evidence. The full amount of rupees one crore 56 lakh has been paid in the check and is in line with the receipt, with the country's largest tax payer
