In Valsad's Dharampur, BJP won 14 wards whereas Congress won in 10 wards. In BJP's Valsad paradi, the BJP and Congress were equally competing. Here the BJP and Congress won 14-14 wards. In Bilimora, Navsari, BJP won 21 wards, Congress got 3 and independents got 13 seats. In the election of the BJP, South Gujarat won all the seats. In Pardi and Valsad, the fight between BJP and Congress was a match. In Sonagadh, BJP got 21 and Congress got 7 seats.
According to Navbharat Times, State Election Commissioner Varesh Sinha told that in the elections for 75 municipalities, BJP 47, Congress 16, NCP 1 and BSP won 1 seat. Independent candidates have won 4 seats. Let us tell that elections were held on Saturday in 75 constituencies of 28 districts of Gujarat. 64.4 per cent of the votes were cast in the body elections.
