Love Jihad: Hadia said - willingly willing to stay Muslim, husband
New Delhi: The woman of Kerala's alleged victim of Love Jihad told the Supreme Court that she has adopted Islam religion voluntarily and she wants to remain a Muslim only. In the affidavit filed in the court, 25-year-old Hadia said that she married Shafin from where she wishes. He asked the court to allow him to stay as a wife.
NIA framed
Hadia said that the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has described her husband as a terrorist, but it is wrong. Her husband has nothing to do with terror group ISIS. This matter came to light when the Kerala High Court canceled the marriage of Hadia and ordered to send Hadia to the custody of her parents. Where this order was challenged.
Case supreme court
On November 27 last year, the Supreme Court released Hadia from her parents custody and sent her to college to complete the studies. However, Hadia demanded permission to go with her husband. Hadia said in an affidavit of 25 pages, "I would like to say that I am a Muslim and want to remain as a Muslim only. Shaphan is my husband and I want to be his wife. I have embraced Islam with my desire to marry him.
High court verdict
The Kerala High Court had on May 25 last year canceled the marriage of 24-year-old Hindu woman, Hadia. The woman married a Muslim person in December 2016. The woman had accepted Islam for marriage. The court had directed the woman to keep her husband near the parents. On Wednesday (August 16th), the court has ordered an NIA probe into the matter, hearing the case of the woman's husband Shafin Jahan (27) challenging the order of the High Court in the Supreme Court. In the petition of the woman's husband, where the order has been referred to as 'an insult to women's freedom in India.' While urging the victim's father to order the Supreme Court to appear before the court, Shapin's lawyer claimed that the woman had accepted Islam from her two years before her marriage.
